Flexible Metal, Inc. was selected to receive the “Resilience” award from Ann Arbor’s SPARK program.
The award recognizes our achievement in diversifying production in our Hamburg, Michigan location with the new contract for EV component production.
This investment is seen as a great example of evolving the current business to adapt to a changing industry.
After more than 30 years in the automotive and diesel truck market, Flexible Metal’s Hamburg facility has learned to adapt to changes in the industry. Historically, it focused on supporting parts for traditional internal combustion engines but as the market made significant shifts to alternative power solutions, Flexible Metal, once again, flexed its innovative strengths to remain competitive.
The electrification of the automotive market is in full swing and rapidly evolving, as is Flexible Metal. It captured an opportunity that leverages its internal strengths to address a critical customer need in this EV market. Flexible Metal was awarded this business as a result of its innovative, customer-centric engineering solutions; rapid project development; and significant capital investment.
A big thanks goes out to our hardworking people at Flexible Metal and to the EDCLC for honoring Flexible Metal’s resiliency.
